Acclaimed
jewellery designer and entrepreneur Kiran Aman launched a popup boutique for
Kiran Fine Jewellery [#KFJ] at Misha Lakhani’s Flagship Store in Karachi.
Indeed this is the first of the KFJ popup boutique series whereby Kiran Fine
Jewellery endeavours to collaborate with a diversity of design houses across
Pakistan. The brand currently further retails through their own standalone
flagship outlet at Ocean Mall [Karachi] as of February 2014.
Speaking
about the popup concept, Kiran Aman said, “I
am delighted to launch the popup space series for my jewellery brand KFJ,
starting with Misha Lakhani's flagship store. The series came about owing to my
desire to make my collections more accessible, yet within the right aesthetic
context, hence our designer space collaboration. I firmly believe that there is
a powerful relationship between jewellery design and fashion in general, which
we have endeavoured to capture and showcase through this new popup bespoke
boutique concept.”
Alongside the brand’s
classic textured gold collections and pieces, the new boutique showcased the
signature ‘So KFJ’ line, known for its textured and beaten gold in 22-23K gold.
Also available are the collections ‘Esoteric: things that are understood by a
select few’ - a collection representing an assemblage of small symbols and Nau: A name of Persian origin, meaning
new, Nau is an extension of the
brands Barzakh collection (2012) with
an advanced laser cutting technique on beaten gold. Further, a selection of
pieces from “Harmonia” are also available, as showcased alongside Misha
Lakhani's PLBW couture collection in 2014. As the name suggests, Harmonia has
been named after the Greek goddess of harmony and concord and the collection
includes 21 carat beaten gold pieces with the ghungroo (bell) as the central motif in twos – signifying that only
with the pairing of the bells can the sound and their purpose be fulfilled.
